InfoComm Certification
Since 2008 we have been certified by InfoComm and join their list of Approved Renewal Unit (RU) Providers. We are now able to offer our dealers “renewal units” toward their Certified Technology Specialist certification. Renewing your CTS® status is as easy as attending one of our S•TEC seminars.
In 2010 we qualified as an InfoComm Sapphire Audio Visual Solutions Provider (AVSP). This recognizes that a percentage of our company’s sales, customer service and technical staff have achieved individual InfoComm Certification.
Working closely with InfoComm, we have developed a library of CTS® accredited classes. Our CTS® certified instructors hold training sessions at our location on a regular basis or they will travel to a customer site to do a “Lunch and Learn”.

| Our facility in Pompton Plains, NJ consists of a live demo room that comfortably holds 20 people and displays products from the leading vendors in the industry. Recently our facility underwent a major renovation including the addition of sound absorption material, a hi definition projection system, Leviton lighting controls, new furnishings, a Tannoy sound system, a Roland digital mixer and a complete compliment of Shure microphones and wireless. |
We re-opened our doors in April 2010 to host a full day, “Advanced Wireless” seminar for contractors, consultants, dealers and end users in our territory for 5 CTS® Renewal Units. |

| In 2010, we added “Audio over Ethernet” to our course offerings which provides 4 CTS® Renewal Units and we were fortunate to have Steve Macatee, Director of Product Development & Training from Rane Corporation as our instructor.
We finished up 2010 with a very a full training schedule as we also ran a special “Guest Series”. Each month we brought in experts in specific areas of our industry. In October, our seminar was “Theatrical Wireless” and in November we offered “Wireless Spectrum and Antenna Design Workshop” for 4 CTS® credits.

Our focus is to bring attendees together, in an informal setting, to provide professional, hands on, technical and sales training plus the opportunity to network with fellow audio and video enthusiasts. Product knowledge, technical fundamentals, and industry advancements are important topics. Each seminar includes refreshment breaks and a catered lunch or dinner.
Each S•TEC seminar is tailored to the needs of the attendees depending on product focus, manufacturer focus or request from the customer. We can now accommodate a large staff by offering multiple sessions, or focus more intimately with just a few. Larger seminars are conducted monthly, while smaller clinics and trainings are held more frequently. Depending on client preference, they may take place either during the day or in the evening.

CONFERENCE ROOM

Our conference room, equipped for video tele-conferencing, WebEX trainings and other audio and video demonstrations is utilized to enhance the learning experience even further. The conference room has been upgraded with video capabilities as well as the addition of audio and networking integration. Our large conference table is outfitted with hide-away terminal stations which include network connections, audio and video I/O and numerous Shure miniature boundary microphones for clear communication. Multiple formats of video, including webcams, network/internet access, HDTV, DVD and other sources are viewed on a 60″ high-definition Plasma screen. There is a Tannoy 5.1 surround sound system integrated into the room, with ceiling mounted active subwoofer, driven by Rane multichannel amplification and DSP multiprocessing. A Crestron control was added to manage these upgrades. |

S•TEC Goes Mobile
S•TEC “Lunch & Learns” are also conducted for the convenience of our clients, at their place of business or choice of location. A mobile version of our seminar, with lunch included, is prepared and conducted for these on-site trainings for large clients, who are unable to send staff to our facility. We prepare PowerPoint presentations and distribute product binders for the attendees to use for future review.
We will offer a number of events throughout the year with several ways to obtain renewal credits for certified associates.

| RETAIL INITIATIVESThough noted for the high quality contractor/integrator seminars, S•TEC has also brought the same support to our retail clients. With 11 Guitar Centers, 10 Sam Ash stores, and numerous independent retailers in the New York Metro area, we have made training a very important initiative. Though it may take several days to a week, we can ultimately have every sales person in the territory attend our events.From small focused trainings with a dozen independent dealer attendees, to full product chain store trainings covering over 100 sales people, we will put together a course directed with the proper focus.
SEMINAR AGENDAS
All seminars and training courses are carefully planned for format, time and content. As we value our customer’s time, we are meticulous about the productivity and efficiency of our training. Once the agenda is agreed upon, and the CTS® renewal credits are approved, we stick to the subjects and the schedule presented. We are also very adamant about starting and ending on time as we strive to conduct very professional events.
All attendees are filed with “VIP” status to receive updates and pertinent product information as it is made available. We also keep track of the topics and products that interest our clients so we can generate invite lists for specific subjects to applicable invitees.
