Three Awards for DB6 and LoudnessRadar at NAB 2013
It’s always great when customers, business partners, the press and industry organizations like what you have come up with in terms of new products and technologies.
At the NAB Show last month, we were honered to receive no less than three awards handed out by major broadcast / pro audio magazines and two of the most significant organizations in the broadcast industry – NAB and IABM (International Association of Broadcast Manufacturers).
In other words, we had a blast in Vegas! |

Tom Butts, TV Technology editor-in-chief: “Our panel of editors walked the show floor in search of the most innovative technologies. | At Summer NAMM 2012 in Nashville, we launched our most portable bass head ever – BH250 – and it was very well received by everyone that stopped by our booth! |
|
|
Every year at Summer NAMM, a panel of industry experts trawl the trade show floor to find the best products of the show. There are four ‘Best in Show’ categories and we were named ‘Company to Watch’ by Alan Friedman, Partner, Friedman, Kannenberg & Co., Farmington, Conn.
“They’ve been making really high-quality pro gear for guitar players and bass players for years. They have fantastic pedal effects and rack processing gear. The reason why I happen to love the new BH250 is it’s a very, very small, compact bass amp. It has 250 watts class D power. Sounds fantastic,” says Alan Friedman.
Our BH250 Bass Head is based on the amp section of our BG250 Bass Combo that was introduced earlier this year. Apart from being great-sounding amps, both BG250 and the new BH250 feature an innovative TonePrint function that allows you to load and swap dedicated bass effects created by some of the greatest bass players in the world. |

TC Electronic Flashback, Shaker, and Hall Of Fame | Reviewed by Mike Metlay with Darwin Grosse
These pedals offer great sounds, flexible features, and the unprecedented ability to be instantly and completely reconfigured using Internet downloads.
TC Electronic has been making guitar effects for decades; I drooled over the TC Stereo Chorus/Flanger 30 years ago, and always wished I could have found a way to buy one… but at the time, it was worth more than my bass and my amp put together (which says about as much about my bass and amp as it did about the pedal!). Fast forward a fair number of years, and TC is still innovating madly when it comes to giving guitarists cool new tools for cool new tones, more powerful than ever and way more affordable.
There are several exciting new faces in the TC pedal world: the PolyTune, which lets a guitarist tune all six strings at once by simply strumming (available as a stompbox and as an iPhone app); the all-analog MojoMojo Overdrive and Dark Matter Distortion pedals; and a set of five digital effects stompboxes that offer a killer new technology called TonePrint, which allows the user to quickly reconfigure the pedals by downloading parameter settings from the Internet. In this review, we tested the Flashback delay/looper, the Shaker vibrato, and the Hall Of Fame reverb; the others are the Vortex flanger and the Corona chorus…
